This tune is so sick in that it stalls with the bassline for half the song.. when it comes in.. its so robotically funked out. Genius.

Right, not meant for dancing. But what do you mean exactly by brain music?… I mean: i didn’t find this piece particularly hard to listen to… in fact it´s rhythmically simple. I like it, as i said before.

Agree — Your right this wouldn’t be considered a song. Electronic is a new wave of art and to call something like Akufens Microhousing abilities is a sin. Srry Culvre at least your still listening to one of the most gifted artists in electronica

my definition of a song is the correct definition. involving singing or having been sung. this is not a song. it is a fantastic piece of music. to call this a “song” is stupid and incorrect.
listen, electronic music is my passion, and i don’t like it to be misrepresented.
“songs” are dogshit compared to the beauty, uniqueness and depth of electronic music.

what is your definition of a song? + no one is really interested in your opinion of why something shouldn’t be called a song. ART is ART. Some like Realism some like Surrealism…… Have an open mind. Ignorance breeds death

i think i understand your question. a ‘song’ traditionally is a piece of music with singing, and as there are no lyrics/singing in this, it’s not a song.
it’s a great piece, or track.

how can this be considered a “question”?

It has a beat and is pleasing to the ear? Check out some other works of Akufen and you’ll see a pattern. I can’t remember the name but there was an artist in the 70s that used noises like car horns, a bicycle bell, a door closing, etc. and made songs out of them. I think this is something similar.
