Ok. I need a bug expert on this one. I was out this morning walking the dogs near the apt pond and saw neon colored dragonflies. Pink, green, blue, orange, and red. They were extremely vivid and reminded me of something you would see in like Alice in Wonderland, or perhaps if you are tripping on acid lol. I’d never seen them before and they were everywhere. Absolutely beautiful.

I don’t know about the other colours, but here in New Zealand we have huge numbers of tiny bright red dragonflies. So if red, why not other colours?

The tradition charm bracelet had fixed charms or charms on an ‘o’ ring which were somewhat hard to take on and off easily. They lay their eggs in the water. The larvae hatch and live in water and are a predator, often found under rocks in shallow water. Dragonflies do sleep and are great at eating mosquitoes and other pesky flying insects.

This source says that they prefer standing water, but I can tell you that my environmental science classes have collected dragonfly larvae from both streams and lakes as part of our studies. They have a low pollution tolerance.
