Strolling around Gölba??
On the way from Dalyan to ?ztuzu beach is a restaurant called Gölba??, which has a creek ending up at Sülüngür lake. Both at the restaurant itself and at the opposite side of the road you can enjoy nature at its best. Amongst others, this video shows the European goldfinch in the reeds at Gölba??, nesting falcons, tree frogs, storks, dragonflies and a mantis.
Jet Boating the Current River just below Big Spring
Late August 2007 – We boated on down below Big Spring where the river is much wider. It was such a beautiful day. I got some neat shots with my waterproof camera. In this video we boat up past Smith’s cabin and Coleman’s Failure. Notice all the large dragonflies in this video. They were simply incredible.

“Flies of Argos” for clarinet, horn, trumpet, trombone, violin, viola, cello, double bass and piano has been performed by the Moscow ensemble of soloists “Studio for New Music” (conductor Igor Dronov) at the All-Russian contemporary music festival “Panorama of Russian Music-XI” (2006). The work was composed for the annual festival-contest of composers “Pythian Games” (St.-Petersburg, 2003). Annotation of the work: Teacher (to Orest): So, flies of Argos, it seems to me, are the more hospitable then people. Look at them! There are a round dozen on the eye like on cake. But where they are from so much? They are the more deafening then rattles and the bigger then dragonflies? Jupiter: These are the only butcher flies, but they are a little fatten. Some years ago they were attracted by stench of carrion of this town, and they grow fat since then. I suppose that after a while they will become like young frogs. By the way, if the flies hinder you from, you can use some weapon to get rid of them. Look at this swarm of flies, which buzzes around of you.
